Lobbying in Social Work using the example of consumption rooms
The emergence of consumption rooms in Germany and Switzerland and perceptions that can be drawn from it.
Lobbying is currently a very important tool to incorporate specific interests into policy making decisions. Social organizations as well have this need on national and international level. This bachelor thesis provides an overview of the current situation of lobbying in Europe and Austria and illuminates to that effect the representation of interests of social organizations and initiatives. Specifically in this regard it is agreed on the concept of consumption rooms, which in recent years has developed increasing relevance in drug policy approaches and concepts. The countries Germany and Switzerland are used as examples to document the emergence of consumption rooms in contrast to the Austrian situation.
