To setup the formula racing car of the OS.Car FH Campus Vienna racing team for the formula student contest, a laser measuring system for the vehicle's chassis is developed and constructed. This system measures the wheel’s chamber and toe, which determine the vertical and horizontal alignment of the wheel. With these values it is possible to calculate other dimensions, like caster and steering axis inclination, which specifies the grade of the steering shaft. The measuring system consists of a laser showing changes on a scale. The laser is mounted on the side of the chassis with a wheel clamp. This system enables to adjust precisely chamber and toe of the wheels.
