A facility for the production of GFP through E.coli was designed, planned and specified within the framework of the project “EC FERM”. Components of this project were contributed by individual project members. Especially the part of sterile sampling during the production phase of GFP using recombinant E.coli is covered. Regular sampling during the production process is indispensable to monitor the production progress. Frequent sampling requires the development of a flexible sampling system. To meet the requirements, a transportable and easily-to-handle system was generated: the TP-system (transportable sampling system). This innovative system allows a fast and clean connection and disconnection of the sampling vessel to/from the reactor system for sterile sampling (see SOP ECFERM_SOP_PN_003 and ECFERM_SOP_PN_001). SOPs and various form sheets for this topic were created. Furthermore, this thesis also covers the quality control section of a site master file.
