The cephalometric analysis, which is also called cephalometry is an important component in orthodontics. For the cephalometric analysis are used lateral cephalograms. Here, reference points and angles, which are connected to lines, are measured. The obtained values are compared to standard values and, consequently, a treatment plan is created. The present work aims to show on the basis of cephalometric analysis using X-ray projection, the suitability of the phantom PBU-60. For the verification are used the cephalometric analysis of A.M. Schwarz and the cephalometric analysis by Hasund and Segner. In the results it is clear that cephalometric analysis on the phantom PBU-60 model is feasible. Also a setting of reference points for cephalometric analysis is possible. The obtained values of the phantom model PBU-60 differ from the standard values of the selected cephalometric evaluation methods. In addition real skull evaluatios were performed on a second phantom according to A. M. Schwarz and Hasund and Segner.
