In their everyday work Radiographer have to use different softwares for medical image postprocessing. Therefore it is important that these softwares are quick and easy to use. To test the usability of a software there are several, established, methods. In this paper methods for the evaluation of softwares will be presented and an overview, of the interaction between humans and computers, is given.
Using these methods, guidelines for evaluating the usability of a medical image postprocessing software are created, which can be used as a basis for an evaluation. Depending on the purpose of the evaluation different approaches, such as an analytical test or a usability test, are possible.
