The digital area surrounds everybody and the most interesting and important part are simple data-pieces. This thesis is based on an analysis of these datas, provided by social networks . The theoretical part deals with the topic of Data-Mining and social networks itself, where the focus is basically Facebook, as representative, whose structure and system is therefore explained in a detailed way. In the practical part different analysis-tools will be shown. For clarification of the analysis process a Facebook userprofile and different free of charge programmes will be used. Here it is emphasized that an extraction of data out of social networks is an easy going process. Finally the programmes are evaluated according to a criteria catalogue and a personal impression.
