This thesis deals with the gender mainstreaming concept, which has a philosophical background and at the same time is a political strategy, and with the critical counter position, which is based on a “traditional Christian” idea of man. Both positions are viewed and compared on different levels and. Subsequently the gender mainstreaming concept is reviewed regarding its relevance and effects on the adoption rights of same-sex couples. In the summary the central results on different levels are stated and a conclusion drawn. |
