This thesis is about young women who are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It describes the effects of multiple sclerosis that impacts the lives of these young women. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system. This causes a wide range of symptoms and an individual progression of a disease. Depending on the location of the lesions the demyelinating effect on the nerve cords causes including following disturbances: vision disturburbance, paresthesia, paralysis, excretion disorders, dysarthria, dysphagia, fatigue, movement disorder.The impact of these symptoms have certain influences on the lives of this young women. Some important aspects of caring are the support of the affected persons and the assistance in maintaining and improving the quality of their lives. The focus in this paper is on the care and support for these women and their families.
