This paper’s focus lies on the acute treatment and post-operational care of patients with broken heart syndrome. The first of three sections of this paper will give insight into some medical aspects, namely pathogenesis, clinic, diagnostic treatment as well as the acute treatment of patients. In contrast, section two provides an overview of the concrete communication in department nursing. This chapter includes different techniques for communicating with patients and the appropriate level of serving psychosocial help as a nurse. The third part, which investigates the interdisciplinary interplay of different occupation groupings, introduces certain techniques, such as music therapy and Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation. Finally, the last chapter includes a discussion as well as a summary of the acute treatment and post-operational care.
