This bachelor thesis deals with social work in the occupied Arena in 1976 which was a clearance for Viennese art- and culture professionals and for consumers.
It represents how some visitors of the Arena decided to pursue their professional activities of social professions in this self-governing territory.
The resulting social services as well as the individuals recognized the newly created demand for action in the arena and joined them.
In this bachelor thesis the female researchers report on the activities of the actors inside the social services and also on how the factors and groups of people affect their social work activities. Furthermore questions are pursued regarding to whether open space, impact on the subsequent and current social work in Vienna are induced and recognized by the events in the arena and if it is still the case today.
