Due to structural disadvantage of migrants, social work has to pay attention to them to a greater extent. Therefore, particularly the counseling setting with migrants who do not speak German is exposed to language barriers which require an interpreter. The following work deals with challenges that arise from the collaboration of the triade interpreter - client - advisor. Both professions are to be characterized from a professional side. Subsequently they will be brought together in order to describe the challenges. On the one hand difficulties in the collaboration will be described, and on the other hand possibilities will be made out. Last but not least, this work will give some recommendations for a good collaboration.
