Epilepsy is characterized by different functional deficits resulting from damage of the brain, which result in repeated and spontaneous, so called epileptic seizures. A diagnosis of epilepsy represent a chronic disease, which significantly affect the daily lives of those affected. These concern physical and mental health and also social aspects. A further burden is the stigmatization of epileptics in society. Comprehensive information can be initiated to counteract all these problems.
