This thesis deals with the topic parental work in mutism therapy. Here, the question of the role of parental work in logopaedic therapy of mutistic children is approached, as well as the parameters which have to be considered, to decide for a specific form of parental work, so that an optimal therapy outcome is guaranteed.
The following Bachelor thesis is supposed to be a support for logopaedics to make them aware of the beneficial results, which can be reached through a good collaboration with parents during therapy.
For this thesis the method of expert interview was chosen. The decision for the interview partners was made by literature research concerning mutism specific concepts. The con-clusion which can be drawn from this treatise is, that from the experts‘ experience it can be unambiguously shown, that parental work has an essential role in the therapy of mut-istic children. Parameters, which play a role to decide for a parental work model are col-laboration and motivation of the parents.
