Industrial production is facing a major change. New production concepts were presented under the heading of the fourth industrial revolution. These are characterized by high flexibility and a high cross-linking via the Internet, by which individual machines combine to a cognitive system of significant independence. By that a complex is built, which is able to react in real time on the volatile market of the future and even produce batch sizes of one piece economically. In order to implement the concept of modern production, a revolutionized logistics is required too. This theses deals with the description and explanation of requirements for logistics according to the concept of industry 4.0. At the beginning an overview of the current state of the art is given, right before the need of logistics innovation will be explained. Adaptive intralogistics systems and the requirements for their technologies, developing standards and navigation systems will be discussed. Afterwards a short overview of the development of external logistics models is given, before comparing future concepts due to their opportunities and requirements. To the end, some own considerations and analytical conclusions are presented.
