This thesis describes the planning and implementation of a self-inspection in the department of packaging of “Axenic”, a GMP-certified company which distributes aseptically filled vials. In the first part of the self-inspection, the parts of “Axenic” which are directly linked to the actual packaging process were investigated. Afterwards, the documentation of those processes was examined. In this self-inspection two “major” errors were detected. First, secondary packaging material was stored in a cleanroom class B. Second, there was neither an SOP nor any protocols about dealing with packaging material which is not being used anymore after a packaging process. Following this, the results are summarized in a report before concluding this thesis with a suggestion of corrective and preventive actions.
