The present work deals with the topic of virtual autopsy and on the example of the Centre of Legal Medicine in Lausanne (CURML) the processes and the routine work are presented. On CURML not only scientific work is done for several years, but the postmortem imaging is used in everyday practice. The difficulties and problems and especially their solutions are presented. On the one hand this approach is taken with current studies and research and on the other hand by visiting the CURML, in which the exact processes were observed and talking with the people working there was conducted to obtain a better understanding. To accurately respond to the questions about the problems and also to the current research priorities and future prospects, an expert interview with the head of CURML, Professor Silke Grabherr was performed. It should be compiled an overall picture of the current work and also an outlook on the future priorities are given. |
