Pediatric Oncology includes a variety of symptoms, which appear in many different forms. The main focus is the patient, who is suddenly pulled out of their daily lives into an entirely new situation, often combined with a long, painful treatment. The challenges facing the families, and all of the other people surrounding the child, encompass the theme for this Bachelor thesis. Caregivers enter the patient's life, and their daily routine, not to mention their whole life in general, abruptly changes. An important aspect of this paper is how to find holistic, thorough forms of treatment and care. Furthermore, it will explore the various difficulties posed to the nursing sector in relation to cancer and it's forms of therapy. And finally, it will address the palliative care of the child and how caregivers can sufficiently offer their support in this regard.
