This paper represents an examination of school social work with the focus on the subject of sexuality. After a general description of the topics of school social work and sexuality, including the presentation of measures of sexual education, connections between this field of work and the topic of sexuality are explained. In the following, the development of teenagers between 10 and 14 years and the responsibility of teachers concerning sexual education are clarified. Subsequent to this examination with specific literature on this subjects, the empirical part of this paper deals with the reply of the question of research of this bachelor-thesis “To which extend does the topic sexuality concern the Wiener Schulsozialarbeit (school social work of Vienna) in the work with teenagers between 10 and 14 years?”. Precisely it is clarified if it is a concern of pupils to deal with the topic of sexuality, respectively if school social workers understand it as their concern and how much space is given to it. Furthermore the responsibility and expertise of school social workers concerning this issue is discussed. Moreover the materials und methods which are used while dealing with this topic are presented.
