The author of this paper deals with the Islamist fanaticism of adolescents. The research question is based on the latest events of recent times. Part of the paper is about the analysis of different influencing factors that could be responsible for possible fanaticism processes in adolescence. Additionally, diverse strategies of fanatical Salafist are examined; therefore, opportunities of prevention of the Islamist fanaticism are the centre of attention in the range of “Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit” (public children and adolescent work). For this purpose, the author of the paper in hand used varying literature and expert publications. Within the research, it was found that fanaticism is a very complex process with far-reaching individuality. Individual alienation of affections and identity disorders has an essential part in this field. Appropriate opportunities of prevention of the Islamist fanaticism might bring a positive impact on these issues; however, setbacks must be considered.
