The subject matter of this thesis can be centralized in lapidary words with “Operative Technical Project Management”.
It deals with the engineering and execution of the project “Heat Recovery Low-Pressure Condensate”, based on the OMV Capital Project Management Standard. Different processes in a power and heat supply station are generating thermal energy in form of 4-bar low-pressure condensates. Currently this energy gets collected and in an irreversible process released into the atmosphere. The aim of that project is a utilization of this energy. In the course of this project, an optimization in the landscape of processes put it into practice. Active project management methods will ensure a goal-oriented and efficient execute of the project intentions. The center of attention is straightened on planning, controlling and timing as well as monitoring all along the project duration. Therefore the project is split into the phases Identify and Assess, Select, Define, Execute and Operate.
