Though laser technology in relation to product labeling is very advanced there are still some gaps to fill. Raw materials like enamels and aluminums do show visible damages or do not have clear designations after laser process due to their material characteristics. The goal of this dissertation is to fully automate the labeling process for the materials mentioned above and to test the realization possibilities. To do so, a special ink is to be put on these raw materials using inkjet technology and is made permanent by using a laser system. As the color had to be applied manually as well as extensively so far, the surplus has to be disposed. The new procedure saves time and ink color through precise application of the markings. Tests concerning the color, their characteristics and dry time, further the use of an inkjet and a laser system prove the concept as practicable. While performing these tests, also some problems, that require further optimizations and research, were identified.
