This thesis deals with planning and using technical systems in order to obtain natural energy of the sun, which is almost available all over the world. The alignment of the prospective building according to the sun´s path should already be considered in the earliest designing stages. From the cradle to the grave of humankind, the sun has always been a virtually never ending source of energy, providing us with some of our most basic needs, heat and light. Therefore it makes sense to adapt the building to local light and heat supply. This often creates its own style of architecture along the line "form follows function". Moreover, modern standards of comfort can be achieved by combining compactness and thermal tightness. With so-called light leading and light guiding systems, a targeted solar technical complement to solar architectural design of a building can be achieved as well as the well-being of people is significantly improved indoors.
