This thesis explores the educational opportunities for unaccompanied minor refugees in Vienna. The work deals with the impact of the attendance of an educational institution on the lives of these young people and the access to educational institutions. The importance of education, the meaning of language, the Austrian school system, the legal framework of education and various educational opportunities in Vienna are outlined. A qualitative research method has been selected for this study. In the empirical part of the thesis the results of the eight conducted and evaluated interviews will be presented.
