This thesis deals with the care of children and adolescents with generalized anxiety disorder. First, the term is defined and differentiated from other anxiety disorders and the depression. In addition, the diagnosis and therapy will be briefly addressed. Possible causes are the education, learning-theoretical, cognitive and genetic factors, a neurobiological explanation as well as psychosocial, socioeconomic and psychodynamic factors. The main focus of this work is on the care of affected persons and persons concerned. The care planning as well as the education of reference persons are considered. Similarly, a chapter of anxiety will be devoted to Hildegard Peplau as a partial aspect of her care theory.
