Zusammenfassung (Englisch)

In the current participation paradigm, the inclusion of people with a disability is crucial. This research focuses on the recruitment of job-seekers with a distance from today’s challenging labor market. This leads to the research question: 'In what way can occupational therapy support the jobseeker with a disability in the job-application process?' In order to develop a service that offers an innovative answer, this research was carried out using the Service Design method. End-users play a central role in this process. Their insights and experiences were collected on the basis of both an online questionnaire and in-depth interviews. From this it can be concluded that stigmatization, the employer’s commitment and professional support influence the communication regarding disability during a job application process. Occupational therapy models have proven the ideal basis for a working method towards a fitting job match. In a follow-up study these insights will be further developed into a product, which will then be tested in practice.
