Since the mid-1990s the concept of integration of migrants in their host country has played an increasing role in the European Union. Austria responded to that in 2010 with the creation of a state secretariat for integration and the preparation of a National Action Plan for Integration. Especially in today's world, integration seems more important than ever. Measures include, in particular, projects in the field of language and education. In this context, the present master thesis deals with the preparation of an exploratory study on the development, implementation and sustainability of integration projects in the field of language and education. The aim of the study was to analyze the integration projects from Eastern Austria (Lower Austria, Burgenland, Vienna) in order to describe their emergence from a socio - economic point of view. This was done on the basis of a quantitative study, in which integration projects were researched online and analyzed and presented, using a classification system. After the presentation of the integration projects, the project management theory described could be used to formulate a sponsorship project for unaccompanied minor refugees.
