This thesis deals with the adolescents, aged between 12 -18, who live in "Macondo" in Vienna. "Macondo" is a housing complex located at the boarder of 11th district of Vienna. The special feature of this residential area is that they are all refugees, who emerge from different nations and cultures. The Purpose of this research is to evaluate the recreational behavior of adolescents living there. With the survey method "photo survey", socio-spatial aspects of youthful leisure behavior can be observed and interpreted. The results show that the teenagers spend their leisure time mostly in and around Macondo at their residential environment. The Friendship among them develop naturally in the living area as they gather together for leisure. Something common to the group is that, they all, the young and old come together and share their leisure hours.
